Request for Qualifications Due: April 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM local time


The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, and other facilities necessary to perform the required services in accordance with the standards and criteria of the professions utilized. Required tasks include: Complete development of “Small Boat Harbor H-K Major Reconstruction” construction documents, phased cost estimation, procuring all required permitting, assisting with construction project delivery strategy, bidding assistance, and construction administration and assistance services through project closeout inclusive of creating project record documentation. 


Submissions will be accepted now through April 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM local time.

Submit one (1) electronic copy via the City's file share service Box.  Firms must request the Box link before 4:00 PM local time one business day in advance of submission deadline via email to Nathan Duval at Nathan Duval, with a cc to the Project Manager Austin Rake.


Questions can be submitted via email to Austin Rake until 2:00 PM local time on April 13, 2021.

The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a request for qualifications, to reject any and all requests for qualifications without cause, and to re-solicit for requests for qualifications.

Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law.

Requirements of the Alaska Employment Preference (AS 36.10) must be met.

The City of Valdez encourages disadvantaged, minority and women-owned firms to respond and is available to assist said firms in learning how to do business with the City.

The City of Valdez “Standard Specifications and Standard Details” shall be used.
