This project includes, but is not necessarily limited to:

Removal and replacement of all exterior sealant joints on the City Hall, Valdez High School, and the Valdez Library. The scope of work includes, but is not necessarily limited to:
A. Exterior joints within and at edges of Cast in Place and Precast Wall Panels.
B. Exterior Sealant joints within and surrounding Exterior Window Units.
C. Exterior Sealant joints surrounding exterior door frames.
D. Exterior Sealant joints at Mechanical/Electrical Penetrations within Cast in Place and Precast concrete wall panels.
E. Patching damage and deterioration as indicated within existing precast concrete wall panels.
F. Replace sealant at top of coping/wall and Roof membrane/Wall flashing intersections.

Alternate 1: Treat all precast and cast in place wall surfaces with cleaner/stain remover.

Alternate 2: Reseal all precast and cast in place wall surfaces with specified product.

Engineers Estimate for construction under $720,000.00.

Emailed bids will not be accepted.

Virtual attendance for the pre-bid and bid opening meetings will be addressed in an addendum.

Bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid is required.

The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a bid and to reject any and all bids without cause.

Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law.

Requirements of the Alaska Employment Preference (AS 36.10) must be met.

The City of Valdez “Standard Specifications and Standard Details” shall be used.
