Pre-Quote Meeting: There will be a non-mandatory Pre-Quote meeting on Thursday, February 7, 2019, 
at 2:00pm in the lobby of the Valdez Senior Center, 1109 Meals Avenue, Valdez, Alaska, 99686.

This project includes, but is not necessarily limited to:

Remodel of two apartments in the Valdez Senior Center, Unit #12 & Unit #15. Work to include wall and ceiling repair and paint in bathroom; installation of new vinyl flooring and baseboard in the entryway, entryway closet, kitchen, kitchen pantry and bathroom. Subfloor renovations as needed for threshold compliance to meet 2010 ADA standards as described in Sections 303 & 404.2.5. Contractor to provide a working toilet at the end of the working day in each unit.

Quotes will be accepted until 2:00pm local time on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at the office of the Capital Facilities Director, 300 Airport Road, Suite 201, PO Box 307, Valdez, Alaska 99686.  Quotes will be accepted via email, fax, mail or in person.  Fax number:  907-835-5574.  There will be a non-mandatory Pre-Quote meeting at 2:00 P.M. local time on Thursday, February 7, 2019, in the lobby of the Valdez Senior Center, 1109 Meals Avenue, Valdez, Alaska 99686.  All questions and material substitutions need to be submitted by Thursday, February 14, 2019 @ 4:00P.M. The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a bid and to reject any and all bids without cause.

Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law.

Requirements of the Alaska Employment Preference (AS 36.10) must be met.

The City of Valdez “Standard Specifications and Standard Details” shall be used.
