To make your Special Event planning a smooth and efficient process, we have created this Special Event Guide and Intent to Host an Event Application to provide answers to many of your questions and explanation of the steps required. The City of Valdez's Special Events Coordinator will be your point of contact throughout the process, answering all your questions, coordinating all your approvals with City Departments internally, and issuing any City Event Permits. The success of your event relies upon you providing us with complete and detailed information.
Our role is not to plan your event, but to help you with the applications, approved required permits, and head off any potential problems or concerns. We look forward to helping you obtain the required approval(s) for your event, and thank you for choosing the City of Valdez as your preferred event location!
If you will be requesting for City Sponsorship or Support, this Intent to Host an Event Application must be completed in its entirety and returned no later than 5:00pm, Wednesday, August 31st for consideration to the 2017 budget. Late applications will not be considered in the 2017 budget process.
