City Leadership Updates
For immediate release: 04/27/2023, 4:45 p.m.
Valdez, AK – Valdez City Council accepted the resignation of City Manager Mark Detter during the April 18 meeting. Mr. Detter will continue as City Manager until May 12, 2023.
Interim City Manager contract approval is a business item on the May 3rd City Council meeting agenda. If approved, Assistant City Manager Nate Duval will assume Interim City Manager duties effective May 13, 2023.
City Council and the Human Resources Department have begun the process for the recruitment of a permanent City Manager. Information regarding public participation will be available after the review of applicants.
