Join Valdez Parks & Recreation for our annual city-wide Community Clean-up Day on Saturday, May 21 from 9:00am - 2:00pm! This is the perfect time to get the family outside after a long winter and serve your community. Help to pick up all of the trash that gets buried by snow along our streets, parks and bike paths. Don't forget about our Litter Bug Scavenger Hunt for all the little ones as well! Yellow ALPAR (Alaskans for Litter Prevention & Recycling) bags and scavenger hunt cards can be picked up at bag pick-up locations during the designated times! Scavenger hunt cards must be turned in with one bag of trash no later than 2:00pm on Saturday, May 21 to the Recreation Center (414 W. Hanagita St.) All scavenger hunt participants who turn in their cards will be entered to win prizes! No registration is required and this activity is FREE for all to participate!
