COV Vehicle Abatement & Removal Program
Got junk vehicles? The City's Vehicle Abatement and Removal Program is back for one more season.
The 2021 program runs May 15 to Sept. 30, weather permitting.
The City has partnered with local contractors to remove and transport vehicles from public and private property to a proper disposal facility out of the Valdez area, at no cost to the property owner.
This is a pretty great deal, so if you have junk vehicles on your property, please do not wait until the last minute to apply.
At the end of the program, owners of junk vehicles that are not removed can face a possible fine of $500 per vehicle, per day.
