With all of our  parks and trails, and recreation programs and events, Valdez Parks & Recreation has a lot to offer, and this means there's a lot to do! We have multiple job opportunities to learn new skills, grow as part of our team, and give back to the Valdez community. From working with kids in our numerous recreation programs, summer camps, and swim lessons to improving our parks and trails, or lifeguarding at the pool, you can join our team! We offer year-round part-time and seasonal part-time opportunities with flexible schedules to help with all of life's other responsibilities. 

About Valdez Parks & Recreation

Join our dynamic team and help create a healthier and more vibrant Valdez through parks and recreation! Our Parks Maintenance team manages a vast system of 200+ acres of unique parklands, 20+ miles of summer and winter trails, including 18 parks, six athletic fields, nine playground, nine park shelters, three tennis courts, three basketball courts, two campgrounds, two cemeteries, one shooting range, one archery range, and one disc & foot golf course. Our Recreation team offers numerous activities for all ages, including aquatics, arts & enrichment, camps, outdoor recreation, sports & fitness, and community events, and manages the Ike "Woody" Woodman Recreation Center, Valdez City Pool, Salmonberry Ski Hill, and the Rock Wall at Gilson Middle School.
