About the Valdez Jail
The Valdez Jail is a short term facility for housing new arrests, sentenced individuals, and inmates who may be awaiting trial. The Valdez Jail consists of four cells and a total of thirteen beds. The Valdez Jail is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Visiting Hours
Visiting hours are:
- Tuesday and Thursday
- 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
8:00 pm - 9:00 pm - Sunday
- 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Visiting hours are dependent upon the availability of a Public Safety Technician. The PST are available at (907) 835-4560.

The phone number to contact an inmate directly is (907) 835-3734. The phones will be available for inmates between 8:00 am - 10:00 pm on most days.
