This year, Crowley is celebrating 60 years in Alaska. From commercial deliveries to propane to home heating oil, Crowley proudly serves the petroleum needs of Alaskans with safe, reliable service. Since 1953, Crowly has provided marine, petroleum distribution and energy support services throughout Alaska, from the North Slope to Southcentral Alaska, along the coast and into some of the most remote inland areas, Including communities along the Kuskokwim and Yukon Rivers. Crowley provides tanker escort and docking services in Valdez Harbor and Prince William Sound for Alyeska Pipeline Service Company's Ship Escort/Response Vessel System (SERVS), utilizing some of the world's most powerful, technologically advanced tugboats.
The Valdez Elks Lodge #2537 is part of the national fraternal organization known as the Benevolent & Protective Order of the Elks. The Lodge also includes the Emblem Club #514. The Elks & Emblem members are legendary in Valdez for their fundraising efforts for everything from local high school scholarships to victims of disaster. The Elks & Emblem also members work tirelessly to welcome people to the Valdez community. Military Appreciation is a priority for the Elks. They are proud to serve our military members during this special event.
City of Valdez: The City of Valdez gives a budget each year to cover any overage in fuel that is needed to support the Military Appreciation fishing boats taking out the deserving men and women that have returned from a war zone in the last couple of years. The City also covers all bait charges and is the major sponsor for the community fish fry.
Peter Pan Seafoods, Inc: Peter Pan Valdez is the youngest processing plant in the Peter Pan family. It is the only fresh/frozen/cannery operation in Valdez.
